Over the past couple of months some computer companies came up with “Green” or “Greener” computers. What are those?
For the most part, they are free from lead and other heavy metals. Some have some additional power savings. Then there are various computer take-back programs. That’s about it!
That makes them somewhat greener than what computers were before.

Is That Good Enough? Is There Something Else Yo Should Know About?
Did you know that the manufacturing of computer components releases toxins and carcinogens into the environment? Those substances are still in your computer when it is sitting right next to you, and they do gas out. In small quantities, but enough to make some people with chemical sensitivities so sick they can’t use that particular computer. Can this be any good for healthy people?

First It Get Worse Then Better

What are those?
The stuff is called “Tetrabromobisphenol A”. In case “bisphenol-A” sounds familiar, it was in the news back in June, linked to prostate cancer. It mimics estrogen, messing with our hormonal balances.
