The Air Oasis UV air purifiers are not ozone devices according to federal regulations. The ozone output is only about 0.01 ppm. A natural forest has ozone levels of 0.01 to 0.03 ppm. The federal ozone limit is 0.04 ppm, devices with output under 0.02 ppm are not considered “ozone devices”. Competitors device usually use old UV technology that produces much higher ozone levels, some even nitric oxides and nitric acid, which can be dangerous when inhaled.
The patent pending quad-nano Xtreme converter cell converts the ozone generated by the UV lamp into airborne hydro peroxides, super oxide ions and hydroxide ions. These ions float through your home and office and suppress bacteria growth (bacteriostatic), mold growth (mycostatic), viruses, VOC's, odors, and reduce small particles. For larger particles, such as pet hair, a filter is recommended.
